Booking Eligibility & Age Policy
  • You must be 18 years or older to make a reservation.

  • At least one registered guest aged 18 years or older must stay on each site or in each accommodation type for the duration of the stay.

  • Infants: 0–2 years. Children: 3–17 years. Adults: 18 years and older.


Identification & Verification
  • A valid photo ID and the credit or debit card used to secure the booking must be presented physically upon arrival.

  • If identification or card verification fails, management reserves the right to cancel the booking, with the guest remaining liable for all associated costs.

  • By booking, you agree that these Terms & Conditions apply to all guests listed on the reservation.


 Check-In, Check-Out & Late Arrivals

  • Check-in: 2:00pm for Cabins, Villas, Beach Huts & Ensuite Sites; 12:00pm for Powered Sites.

  • Check-out: 10:00am.

  • Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a fee, subject to availability day prior.

  • Late arrivals after 6pm must be pre-arranged with Reception.


Site Allocation & Relocation

Specific site or cabin numbers are not guaranteed.

We understand many guests may have a preferred area or favourite site, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate requests where possible.

Please note, however, that specific site numbers and locations cannot be guaranteed. When you make a booking, you’re reserving a site type (for example, powered site, ensuite site, or riverfront cabin) rather than a particular numbered site.

To optimise the park layout and ensure a smooth experience for all guests, our team may adjust site allocations prior to arrival. This allows us to manage group bookings, vehicle access, maintenance requirements, and overall guest flow.

We’ll always aim to:

  • Accommodate location preferences where available

  • Keep returning guests near their preferred area

  • Place groups close together where possible

If adjustments are required, you’ll always remain in the same site category.

Thank you for your understanding — this process helps us maintain flexibility and ensure the best experience for all guests.


Facilities, Maintenance & Closures
  • The resort conducts regular upgrades and maintenance.

  • While all efforts are made to notify guests, facilities may close without prior notice for safety or operational reasons.

  • No refunds will be provided for maintenance or facility closures.


Facility Access & Visitors
  • Resort facilities including the Pools, Splash Park, Kids Club, Camp Kitchen, and Playgrounds are for registered guests only.

  • Each guest will receive a wristband, required for access.

  • Visitors may purchase Day Visitor Passes (subject to availability, not during peak periods).

  • Visitors are family or friends not staying overnight.

  • Management reserves the right to limit or refuse visitor entry.


Conduct, Behaviour & Noise
  • Quiet hours are 10:00pm–8:00am. Noise and music must be at a respectful level at all times.

  • Drunken, aggressive, or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Call-outs for disturbances incur a minimum $200 fee, plus damage or repair costs.

  • Guests may be evicted without refund for unsafe or disruptive behaviour.


Vehicles, Bikes & Mobility Devices
  • One vehicle per site or cabin unless otherwise approved.

  • Speed limit: 5 km/h across the resort.

  • No e-bikes, e-scooters, or unregistered motorised devices permitted.

  • Bicycles are to be ridden safely, helmets are mandatory, and no riding after dark without lights or reflective gear.

  • Unauthorised vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.


Fires & Cooking
  • No personal campfires or firepits permitted.

  • A communal firepit may be operated by staff when safe to do so.

  • Gas cooking and heating allowed on sites in approved equipment only.


Artificial Turf & Site Protection
  • Artificial turf pads are for tents and awnings only.

  • No vehicles, trailers, or hot items are to be placed on artificial grass.

  • Damage to turf may incur fees up to $2,000.


Cleaning, Damage & Additional Charges

Guests must leave their site or accommodation clean and tidy.
Fees apply for excess cleaning, rubbish removal, or any damage to resort property or landscaping.
Cleaning or damage fees start at $100, charged to the card on file with a detailed invoice provided.


Pool & Water Safety
  • Pools and slides are used at your own risk — no lifeguard on duty.

  • Children must be actively supervised by an adult.

  • No glass, running, or rough play near pools.

  • Wristbands must be worn at all times when using pool or slide areas.


Smoking & Vaping Policy

Solitary Islands Resort is a Smoke-Free & Vape-Free property.

  • Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas outside the front car park.

  • Strictly no smoking or vaping in cabins, playgrounds, pool areas, or camp kitchens.

  • Breaches will incur a $250 cleaning fee.


Lost Property & Valuables

Management accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Lost property is held for 14 days before donation or disposal.


After-Hours Assistance

An after-hours emergency number is available for urgent maintenance or security issues only.
Non-urgent calls may incur a call-out fee.


Privacy & Data Collection

By booking, you consent to Solitary Islands Resort collecting and storing your personal information for reservation and communication purposes.
Your data is managed in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act.

Commercial Use & Photography

Filming, photography, or commercial use of the resort’s name, logo, or facilities requires written management approval.


Resort Right of Entry

Management and authorised contractors may enter sites or accommodation at reasonable times to conduct maintenance, repairs, or welfare checks. Notice will be provided where possible.


Liability & Indemnity

Guests use all resort facilities, pools, slides, bikes, and hire equipment at their own risk.
Solitary Islands Resort accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse, unsafe behaviour, or failure to follow supervision and signage requirements.
Subject to rights under Australian Consumer Law, guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Solitary Islands Resort, its owners, staff, and agents from any claim, cost, or expense related to the use of resort facilities or activities.



Acceptance

Your booking, payment, or entry to the resort constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and all related resort policies.

All fees are charged in Australian Dollars (AUD). Surcharges may apply on certain dates within your travel period. The cost of your stay — including accommodation, food & beverage, and resort activities — can be paid via the card held on file.

    A 1% fee applies to all credit card payments.

Payments & Deposits

All payments are automatically deducted from the original payment method on file when due.
If you wish to use an alternative card, it is your responsibility to update your payment details prior to the deduction date.
Guests who booked via the BIG4 Hub must log in to update card details before the deposit due date or make payment ahead of time.
Late or failed payments may incur a fee or result in cancellation.

Payment Schedules
  • Off-Peak Direct Bookings Only: 50% due at time of booking; remaining balance automatically deducted on the day of arrival from the card on file.

  • School Holiday Advance Hold: A non-refundable, non-transferable $100 deposit is required when booking a year in advance.

  • Easter: 50% automatically deducted by 1 August, with final balance due 1 February.

  • Christmas: 50% automatically deducted by 1 June, with final balance due 1 November.

  • September/October Holidays: 50% automatically deducted by 1 March, with final balance due 1 August.

We are not able to offer time extensions for payments.
Please note a price increase occurs on 1 February each year — any reservations made after this date will incur the new rate.
Minimum night stays apply in all peak periods and long weekends.

Once full pre-payment has been made, your reservation becomes non-transferable and non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel, no refund will be given except as required by law or under the conditions below.

Rebooking & Future Reservations
  • Christmas: Returning guests may be offered to rebook the same site and dates for a min of 7 nights for the following year if confirmed within 1 day of arrival of their current stay.

  • Other School Holiday Periods: Guests receive early-bird presale access before general release, min 7 night bookings only.

  • Sites and dates are not guaranteed — first in, best dressed.

  • A deposit must be paid in full at time of rebooking.

In the event that you need to cancel your stay with us, all cancellations must be received in writing and sent to our Reservations Team via [email protected].

💳 Administration Fee

A $30.00 administration fee applies to all cancelled bookings and is charged per site or cabin booked.

🚫 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Unfortunately, no refunds or credits will be issued for:

  • Late check-in or early departure

  • Shortened stays

  • Illness, injury, or change of plans

  • Poor weather or natural events (see Force Majeure clause)

💰 Deposits & Payments
  • A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100 applies when booking any school holiday period a year in advance.

  • All deposits and final balances will be automatically deducted from the original payment method on file as per the due dates listed below.

  • If you have booked through the BIG4 Hub, you must log in and update your card details prior to your due date or make payment in advance to avoid late fees or cancellation.

  • Guests wishing to use a different payment method must update their details before the due date.

  • Late payments may incur a fee or risk cancellation of your booking.


🏖️ QLD & NSW School Holiday Bookings
  • More than 60 days’ notice: Fully refundable less a $30 administration fee.

  • 30 to 60 days’ notice: Forfeiture of the first night’s accommodation cost.

  • Less than 30 days’ notice: Forfeiture of all monies paid.


🌿 Low Season Bookings
  • More than 4 days’ notice: Fully refundable less a $30 administration fee.

  • Less than 4 days’ notice: Forfeiture of all monies paid.


🔄 Rebooking & Credits
  • Credits (if approved) are valid for 12 months from the original arrival date and non-refundable once applied.

  • Credits may only be used for a new booking under the same name and cannot be transferred, sold, or extended.

  • Once a credit has been used to make a new booking, no further date changes or refunds will be possible.


🎄 Christmas & Peak Booking Rebook Policy
  • Guests staying over Christmas are offered the same site and dates for the following year, provided they rebook within 1 day of arrival of their current stay.

  • Other school holiday guests are offered an early bird presale window before bookings open to the public.

  • Sites and dates are not guaranteed and are available on a first-in, best-dressed basis.

  • Deposits for rebookings must be paid in full at time of booking.


Force Majeure (Weather & Events Beyond Control)

Solitary Islands Resort is not liable for cancellations, closures, or interruptions caused by severe weather, floods, power outages, fires, or other events beyond management control.
Refunds are not provided in such cases; management may, at its discretion, offer a credit or date change.

Amendments & Changes
Solitary Islands Resort reserves the right to amend, update, or correct any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version published on our official website will apply to all new and existing bookings.

Any typographical, clerical, or other errors or omissions in promotional material, pricing, or booking information are subject to correction without liability. It is the guest’s responsibility to review and acknowledge the latest version of these Terms and Conditions before arrival.

Any amendments to bookings, including date changes or reductions in stay length, are subject to approval and may incur fees in line with our standard cancellation policy.

1) One discount per booking
Only one (1) discount, promotion, voucher, membership rate, or special may be applied per booking. Discounts cannot be combined or stacked. If multiple discounts are presented, the single best eligible discount will be applied.

2) Repeat Reward (returning guest offer)

  • Eligibility: Available to guests who have stayed at Solitary Islands Resort within the last 24 months at the time of booking. The new booking must be in the same name as the previous stay.

  • Benefit: 10% off up to a maximum of $50 per booking. Applies to one booking at a time.

  • How to redeem: Quote “Repeat Reward” before booking is confirmed. (Not valid after confirmation or at/after check-in.)

  • Scope: Available on select sites and cabins; the base rate may vary by accommodation type and dates. Minimum nights may apply and must be consecutive. Substitutions may be offered if a product is unavailable.

  • Payment & changes: Payment and due dates follow our standard booking Terms & Conditions. Offer is for new bookings only; you cannot upgrade an existing booking or cancel and rebook to claim this offer.

  • Exclusions: Not redeemable for cash, not valid with any other offer, and no further discounts apply. Cancellation fees apply per our standard Terms & Conditions.

3) BIG4 Membership Discount

  • Recognition: We honour current BIG4 Parks membership discounts on eligible member rates in line with BIG4 membership rules (currently 10% up to BIG4’s published per-stay cap).

  • Eligibility: Primary guest must be a current financial BIG4 member. Membership details must match the booking name and be presented at booking time (or no later than check-in for eligible member-rate bookings).

  • Scope & limits: Applies to eligible rates and dates only and may exclude peak periods, packages, and already-discounted rates. Not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and not valid with any other discount or promotion (including Repeat Reward).

  • Channel: Valid for direct bookings with Solitary Islands Resort and eligible BIG4 member booking flows. Third-party/OTA rates are generally excluded unless explicitly stated.

4) General conditions (all discounts)

  • Discounts must be requested and validated before booking confirmation; they cannot be retrospectively applied or added after check-in.

  • Identification and prior-stay verification may be required.

  • Discounts do not apply to surcharges, add-ons, or third-party services unless stated.

  • Availability is limited; blackout dates and minimum stays may apply.

  • Management may withdraw or amend any discount at any time where permitted by law.

  • All discounts are subject to our standard booking Terms & Conditions.

Terms and Conditions of Pedal Kart Hire

  • Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort shall be referred to as the Owner in the following text. I, me or hirer being the person whose name and signature appears within the Guest Registration and in consideration of the go-kart and safety helmet (Hired Equipment).
  • I acknowledge that the driving of go-karts is inherently risky and may lead to injury or death. The Hirer voluntarily agrees to accept all risks and danger, prior to, during and subsequent driving of the go-karts, including damage or injury caused by other drivers.
  • I acknowledge that it is as a condition of hire, for anyone operating the Hired Equipment to correctly wear the safety helmet provided by the Owner, during the period of hire.
  • Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to hire go-karts unless permission has been granted by the parent/guardian and the Guest Registration has been signed. Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times.
  • I will at all times take full control of the Hired Equipment and assume full responsibility. I am aware of the limit of two people for the double go-karts and one person for the single go-karts and I will at all times supervise any other person being in control of the Hired Equipment during the hire and that no extra passengers to jump on the go-karts at any time.
  • I will not allow children to sit on other people’s lap.
  • I will ensure that the Hired Equipment does not leave Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort or be ridden in the area at the front entrance or near the boom gate.
  • I will at all times take full control of the Hired Equipment and assume full responsibility.  I will not allow any other person to be in control during the hire and no extra passengers to jump on the go-kart at any time. I will not leave Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort in the go-kart and I will never ride in the area at the front entrance or near the boom gate.
  • I will operate the Hired Equipment on the roads only. I will not take the Hired Equipment into any public amenity such as Camp Kitchen, Games Arcade,  amenities blocks and carparks. 
  • I hereby warrant that I am in good health.  I am not receiving any medication or taking any drugs whatsoever that may affect or interfere with my ability to control the Hired Equipment and that I am free of any injury, medical conditions, disability, disease, influence of alcohol, drugs or illness which may be aggravated by participation in the abovementioned sport activity or may affect or interfere with my ability to control the Hired Equipment.
  • The Hirer indemnifies the Owner against all claim, demand, action, liability, suit lien off-set demand proceedings, application order, judgment including without limitation for any loss, damage, property damage, personal injury, injury, expense, accident, death, compensation, cost, fee, penalty, charge or payment of whatsoever nature caused by any act or failure to act of the Hirer or because of the Hire’s use of the Hired Equipment.
  • I will not crash into other people, property, go-karts, vehicles, bikes, trees, shrubs, etc, or allow my go-kart to tow another go-kart or to be towed by anything.
  • I will return the Hired Equipment promptly at the end of the period of hire as I am aware that there maybe other bookings behind mine and I will be responsible for extra payments levied due to late returns.
  • I will ride carefully and sensibly on roads and always keep to the left. 
  • I will be aware of all cars and never park directly behind any vehicle. 
  • I will not allow children to sit on other people’s laps. 
  • I am aware that the total weight limit per go-kart (double or single) is 140kg and I will not exceed this. I am also aware that the weight limit for the small back seat is 30 kg.
  • Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort shall have the right to refuse hire at any time during the period of hire to retake possession of the Hired Equipment.
  • We strongly recommend that enclosed footwear is worn for safety reasons.
  • The Terms and Conditions have been bought to my attention by Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort and by signing the Guest Registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand and agree to the above Terms and Conditions of hire on the hire of the pedal go-karts listed above
  • Resort facilities including the Pools, Splash Park, Kids Club, Camp Kitchen, and Playgrounds are for registered guests only.

  • Each guest will receive a wristband, required for access in peak periods.

  • Visitors may purchase Day Visitor Passes (subject to availability, not during peak periods).

  • Visitors are family or friends not staying overnight.

To maintain guest comfort, Solitary Islands Resort conducts mosquito and sandfly management during warmer months.

  • Spraying is performed with a diesel-operated mist containing natural pyrethrum (from chrysanthemums).

  • Spraying occurs at management’s discretion, weather permitting, and not on a fixed schedule.

  • By entering the resort, guests accept these safety and environmental practices.

  • Guests with sensitivities may request notification prior to spraying by informing Reception.

  • No personal campfires or firepits permitted.

  • A communal firepit may be operated by staff when safe to do so.

  • Gas cooking and heating allowed on sites in approved equipment only.

We love a good campfire story as much as anyone, but safety and serenity come first at Solitary Islands Resort.
Because we’re surrounded by pristine National Parks and share our space with other guests (some who prefer stars to smoke), individual fires are not permitted anywhere on site.

This helps us:

  • Protect our beautiful natural environment 

  • Keep the air clear for our neighbours and campers

  • Reduce the risk of accidental bushfires in a high-risk zone

But don’t worry — we’ve still got your marshmallow fix covered!

Communal Campfire Fun

Join us at the communal fire pit, where the flames and good vibes come together.
We light it up:

  • Friday, Saturday & Monday evenings at dusk

  • Or on request when the weather’s just right

Please note:

  • No fires during declared fire bans or rainy conditions

  • Fires are extinguished by 9:00pm sharp (so everyone gets their beauty sleep)

Bring your chairs, snacks, and stories — we’ll bring the crackle. 

Gift Vouchers are valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of issue.
All bookings using a Gift Voucher must be made and completed within this validity period.

All accommodation and services are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Acceptance of a Gift Voucher as payment is subject to final verification by Solitary Islands Resort.

  • Gift Vouchers are redeemable for accommodation only at Solitary Islands Resort Wooli.

  • Vouchers are non-transferable and can only be used by the nominated recipient listed on the voucher.

  • The original physical Gift Voucher must be presented at check-in for validation.

    • If the voucher cannot be produced, full payment for the booking will be required at the time of check-in.

  • Expired Gift Vouchers hold no monetary or booking value.

    • In limited cases, management may approve a one-time extension before expiry for a small administration fee.

  • Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash, credit, or refund.

    • No change or credit will be issued for any unused portion of a voucher.

  • Gift Vouchers cannot be used as deposits or payments for group bookings, events, or catering functions.

  • Lost, stolen, photocopied, altered, or destroyed vouchers will not be reissued, replaced, or honoured under any circumstances.

  • Solitary Islands Resort reserves the right to refuse redemption or cancel a voucher if there is suspicion of fraud, tampering, or misuse.


Purchasing & Redeeming a Voucher

Gift Vouchers can be purchased online through our website or directly via Reception.
To redeem a voucher, please quote your voucher number when booking by phone or online.
All redemptions are subject to availability and the standard Terms & Conditions of Solitary Islands Resort.

We’re pet-friendly, not pet-free-for-all. Keep your furry friends leashed, loved, and off the furniture. Don’t forget your poo bags — Mother Nature thanks you!
Bonus points for well-behaved pups who make friends and not drama.

At Solitary Islands Resort we love our pets…and we love yours!

We are the top choice for pet friendly accommodation in Northern NSW. Offering Pet bookings on selected powered sites & pet friendly Cabins.

Pet-Stay Guidelines

  • All bookings for pets must be made with our Reservation Team via telephone.
  • Bookings with pets during peak periods are available on limited sites only and pets are charged at $5 per night – get in quick as these sites go fast!
  • Small to meduim sized dogs only up to 23kg
  • Maximum 2 dogs per site & 1 dog in the pet friendly cabins (small & medium dogs only)
  • When you arrive at our park for your stay, you will be required to sign our pet friendly agreement which outlines the rules relating to your stay at our park.
  • Dogs who have controlled barking, respond to commands and whose owners clean up their mess are the best doggie guests around!
  • Remember, dogs will be welcomed at the managers’ discretion.
  • The following breeds are unfortunately not allowed: Pit bull, rottweiler, mastiff, doberman, bull dog, bull terrier/ staffy, ridge back, bull arab, german shepherd, grey hounds & chow chow

Doggie Rules

  • Keep your dog leashed at all times
  • Take your dog with you when you leave your site
  • Walk your dog off the resort and pick up droppings
  • Do not take dogs inside cabins, amenities, laundries, pool area or camp kitchen
  • Do not leave your dog tied up – your dog must go with you when you go out
  • We remind you that you are responsible for your dog at all times
  • $50.00 charge may apply if any of above not adhered to

To help make your trip with your best friend all the more organised and comfortable, there are a couple of things to consider.

  • Make sure your pet’s micro-chip details are up to date in case they wander off when you take them out of the park.
  • Check their vaccinations are up to date.
  • Ensure your pet’s collar and tag are secure.
  • Remember to pack the essentials in your furbaby’s luggage – food and water bowls, food, fresh water for the drive, lead, bedding, toys and poop-tidy bags.
  • A pet first aid kit is also an excellent idea.

We’re all here for the good times — so let’s keep the vibe relaxed, kind, and community-minded. Loud arguments, disrespectful behaviour, or anything that kills the holiday mood may result in an early checkout (no refunds, no bad vibes).

We love a late-night laugh, but not at the cost of our neighbours’ sleep.
Quiet hours are 10pm – 8am, so please keep music, chatter, and karaoke battles to a whisper.

We love capturing the magic — you might spot our photographer snapping event moments for socials.
If you prefer to stay out of frame, just let our team know (we totally get it).
However, any filming, photography, or commercial use of the resort’s name, logo, staff, or facilities requires management approval.

To keep everyone safe and sound, CCTV operates throughout the resort in key public areas. This helps us maintain security, protect guest property, and ensure everyone enjoys a safe, respectful stay.
